Who we are

littleleaf Horticultural Consulting is owned and operated solely by female US Army veteran, Madison Jenkins. Madison obtained a Bachelor of Science from Oregon State University in 2023 in the field of Botany. After an honorable discharge from the military, she went on to obtain her Master’s of Science in Plant and Soil Sciences with a concentration in Horticulture in 2025 from Mississippi State University.

Working alongside expert researchers with the University of Florida, the Fish and Wildlife Service, the National Park Service and expert researchers from Mississippi State University, Madison conducted thesis research on a Florida panhandle native bean, Galactica microphylla, also known as the littleleaf milkpea, of which the name littleleaf was born.

Madison has held several landscape industry jobs over the last 4 years and found there to be a lack of proper planting, care, and maintenance of plants and landscapes by landscaping companies. So often we see plants and trees over pruned, over sprayed with unnecessary chemicals, plants and trees planted where they don’t belong, and a chronic waste of plant material in every project.

littleleaf Horticultural Consulting hopes to close this gap by using scientifically sound methods to help bridge the gap between landscaper and homeowner. Ready to turn your thumb green? Contact us today to get growing!
